Autumn has arrived, and we have some exciting news to share with you! The German broadcaster SWR has implemented interactive, personalized radio streaming using aixtream, our software solution and the Ybrid® platform from our partner nacamar. We have presented it last week end during Radiodays Europe in Lisbon. Radio is on the move again! We are also happy to announce that our new website is now live with easier navigation and richer content.

 

Customer success story – SWR (Südwestrundfunk) built interactive streaming into its radio apps with aixtream and Ybrid® technology

The radio apps of the Südwestrundfunk (SWR1, SWR3, SWR4 and DASDING) run using our Ferncast aixtream software and the Ybrid ® platform which was developed by nacamar GmbH for the distribution of dynamic and hybrid audio-over-IP content. With the new SWR apps the consumer enjoys many perks: the live audio stream directly to their phone, the options to repeat favorite songs on demand, rewind the program, swap songs or save them in a playlist alongside many other features. These great features attract young listeners, compete with podcasts and support the future of music radio, taking Radio to the next level!

New features – aixtream software updated with major improvements for audio- on-demand and Ybrid® implementation

Among the new features are major improvements related to online audio streaming especially with Ybrid® and audio-on-demand processing. The improvements include better error and retry handling and management of default metadata. Ybrid® received a lot of attention, as we are working closely with nacamar GmbH to optimize our implementation according to their input. This ensures aixtream stays the premier Ybrid® streaming platform. aixtream technology is fully compliant with the requirements of Ybrid ®and was certified by nacamar.

New website – Ferncast has a new look and much more

Our redesigned website offers an excellent user experience and reflects the expansion of Ferncast products' capabilities and its international activities. It is faster with easy navigation, richer content, personalized customer journey and 4 languages available (now including Spanish) as we are going international. Events – Radiodays Europe was held on 9-11 October 2021 in Lisbon

Radiodays Europe in Lisbon 2021 had 800 registered in-person participants over two days and 729 active participants online. It was the first in-person event for the Broadcasting Industry in a long time and it gave us positive energy. Nacamar and Ferncast were partners of Radiodays 2021 and we organised sessions around the future of Radio. What's the next level Radio for you? Topics included interactive personalized streaming, podcasting, radio in the cloud and more!

Der Herbst ist nun da und wir haben tolle Neuigkeiten für dich! Der SWR hat erfolgreich interaktives, individualisiertes Radiostreaming mit unserer Softwarelösung aixtream und der Ybrid®-Plattform unseres Partners nacamar implementiert. Letzte Woche präsentierten das Resultat auf den Radiodays Europe in Lissabon - bei Radio bewegt sich endlich wieder was! Außerdem freuen wir uns verkünden zu können, dass unsere neue Website, mit mehr Content und leichterer Navigation, nun live ist.

 

Kundenstory – SWR hat mit aixtream und Ybrid®-Technologie interaktives Streaming in seine Radioapps eingebaut

Die Radioapps des Südwestrundfunk (SWR1, SWR3, SWR4, und DASDING) laufen nun über unsere Software aixtream und die Ybrid®-Plattform, die von nacamar GmbH zur Distribution von dynamischen und hybriden Audio-over-IP-Content entwickelt wurde. Mit den neuen SWR-Apps genießt der Hörer viele Vorteile: der Live-Audiostream direkt aufs Smartphone, die Optionen Lieblingssongs auf Wunsch zu wiederholen, im Programm zurückzuspulen, Songs zu tauschen oder in einer Playlist zu speichern, und viele andere Features. Diese einzigartigen Features ziehen junge Hörer an, stellen eine Alternative zu Podcasts dar und bilden die Zukunft des Radios - das Next-Level-Radio!

Neue Features – aixtream mit umfangreichen Verbesserungen beim Audio-on-Demand und Ybrid® aktualisiert

Zu den neuen Features gehören umfangreiche Verbesserungen beim Online-Audiostreaming (besonders für Ybrid) und Audio-on-Demand-Verarbeitung. Zu diesen Verbesserungen gehören besseres Fehler- und Retry-Management sowie Handhabung von Standard-Metadaten. Ybrid® bekam besonders viel Aufmerksamkeit, da wir in enger Zusammenarbeit mit nacamar GmbH an der Optimierung unserer Implementierung arbeiten. Dadurch wird sichergestellt, dass aixtream auch weiterhin die beste Ybrid®-Streaming-Plattform bleiben wird. Es ist vollständig mit Ybrid® kompatibel und wurde von nacamar zertifiziert.

Events – Radiodays Europe fand vom 9. - 11. Oktober 2021 in Lissabon statt

Die Radiodays Europe in Lissabon 2021 zählte 800 registrierte Teilnehmer an zwei Tagen vor Ort und 729 aktive Teilnehmer online. Es war das erste Event der Broadcast-Branche seit langer Zeit, das nicht nur online stattfand. Dies gab uns positive Energie. nacamar und Ferncast waren Partner auf den Radiodays 2021 und zusammen organisierten wir Veranstaltungen zum Thema der Zukunft des Radios. Was ist Next-Level-Radio für dich? Zu den Themen gehörten interaktives, personalisierten Streaming und Podcasting sowie Radio in der Cloud und mehr!
