Ferncast will offer a free webinar on reliable transmission for audio contribution and distribution on May 24, 2022, at 10 am CET


Ferncast, developer of innovative audio transmission software solutions for professional live audio applications, will be hosting a free webinar on reliable audio transmission. Reliable delivery of programs is a major concern for internet radio stations and broadcasters and this webinar will examine multiple aspects of this topic. It will take place on May 24th, 2022, with the title “Reliable transmission for audio contribution and distribution”.

Ferncast’s audio signal processing experts will review approaches used in RTP and SRT streaming which are mostly relevant to the contribution side. There are also streaming protocols like HLS, Icecast and Ybrid that are directly relevant to the listeners. All these variants will be discussed with regards to reliable transmission, while a more detailed discussion will focus on HLS and its failover mechanisms.

They will also demo aixtream, a scalable software solution running as server or VM installation, and they will be available for a live Q&A session at the end.
