This new software update significantly broadens the platform’s audio transport capabilities, offering enhanced performance, security, and flexibility for professional radio workflows. Designed to meet the evolving needs of broadcasters and audio engineers, aixtream 3.11 introduces new features tailored for Studio-Transmitter Links (STLs) and other demanding audio transport scenarios.
Key highlights include MPX output for input to FM transmitters, encapsulation of RTP streams in SRT streams, synchronized AoIP playout, and further improvements of SRT handling.
Additional improvements simplify license management and podcast workflows, such as parallel uploads and configurable upload priorities—soon to be implemented by Deutschlandradio. Offline and online licensing is also more streamlined with integrated license file management.
All of these come along with new features designed to enhance the aixtream platform’s performance and reliability.
